A brand born in Manhattan’s Union Square is officially launching their first New Jersey location as Daily Provisions is set to welcome their first customers inside a revamped industrial space.

Jersey Digs broke the news last year about the impending arrival of Daily Provisions, a popular food and beverage retailer run by Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group. The brand signed a 10-year lease for a storefront at 132 Bay Street and will debut next to Rumble Boxing today with a 7 a.m. opening.

The property that Daily Provisions calls home is the Arts & Powerhouse Building, which just opened earlier this month following a renovation. The space spans approximately 3,134 square feet and the restaurant is a three-daypart concept that serves a variety of sandwiches, salads, baked goods and specialty beverages, with an emphasis on to-go sales.

Eater reports that the Jersey City location will be offering a Taylor Ham, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich for the first time in their history, and they’ve started off on the right foot by calling it by the correct name (this is Jersey City, after all).

Other breakfast options at Daily Provisions include egg and cheese sandwiches or a Lumberjack, which combines bacon, egg, and cheese that is sandwiched between two maple crullers.

Speaking of perhaps the most famous item at Daily Provisions, crullers come in cinnamon, maple, and blueberry buttermilk varieties. A variety of salads and lighter bites dot the menu, while main dishes include a seared salmon, chicken Milanese, a patty melt, or a chickpea and veggie sandwich.

Daily Provision’s Jersey City outpost will be open daily from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m. and is launching in a neighborhood that has welcomed a slew of new restaurants and businesses in months years. Pizza Twist, Peppercorn Station, and Rui Tea have set up shop as of late in the area, which will soon boast at 550-seat theater set to be home to the New Jersey Symphony.
